Our evidence labels

Official / in-game data covers release facts, patch notes, and current English game text.

Data-backed blueprint connects those documented mechanics into a playable route. It is useful guidance, but not a claim that the route is universally best.

Community report means independent player experiences point in the same direction, with conditions stated.

Needs testing means the idea is useful enough to investigate but not strong enough to recommend as fact.

Why the dates matter

Pass the Fear launched in July 2026 and received several updates in its first week. The current research baseline is V1.0.479. Every future build card will show the game build and review date so old advice can be rechecked after balance changes.

Sources

Release details and balance changes come from the official Steam page and official update feed. Current English character and item relationships are cross-checked against Hunter Archive, an independent database that states it verifies names, effects, and localized text against current in-game behavior.

Game image sources

This site uses a self-hosted reference set of game icons to make hunters, skills, relics, Tarot cards, and weapons easier to recognize. The source pages are the public Pass the Fear Wiki character and item pages. Images are stored on this site; the live Wiki is not hotlinked.

The English planner currently maps icons for all 7 Hunters, 119 skills, 45 weapons, 44 Tarot faces, and the active relic pool. Each mapped asset is recorded in the repository icon manifest with its source page and fetch status.

The Wiki itself states that game names, art, icons, and data belong to their respective rights holders. Its terms of use are linked here for transparency. This source note identifies where the files were found; it does not claim that the Wiki or the game rights holders granted this site a license.

We do not copy the Wiki's article text or page layout. If a rights holder asks us to remove a particular asset, we will review and remove it promptly.

Corrections

This is an independent fan project. Patch-sensitive claims are dated, and a build is downgraded to “Needs testing” when an official update changes a mechanic it depends on.
